Personal data

The personal data we collect from you includes:      

• Questions, queries and feedback you leave and your name, email, telephone number and address

• Information including your name, address, telephone numbers, email when placing orders or submitting a sponsorship request   

• Your email should you voluntarily complete customer surveys   

• Your name, mobile telephone number, email and county of residence if you participate in competitions or opt-in to receive our trade newsletter

• We will retain any survey answers that you provide when entering competitions

• When attending a trade show, we may request your permission to scan your exhibitor badge in order to collect your contact details, including your name, telephone number, address and email address. This information may be used to follow up on your interest in our products or services.

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity

Google Analytics software is used to collect information about how you use the Arden Grange website. We do this to help make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users and to help us to improve the functionality of the website

Google Analytics stores information about:     

• The pages you visit on our website     
• How long you spend on each website page     
• We do not collect or store your personal information (for example your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are

We will also use Google Analytics data from any Arden Grange branded competition entry microsites

How will we use the information about you?

We collect personal information about you to process;      

• Any orders     
• Any queries or feedback

We also use the data that you have submitted to manage your account

Leander International Pet Foods Ltd will not share your information for marketing purposes with external companies

In processing your order or when providing stock and promotional items, your delivery address, name and contact number will be passed on to our courier partners  

Google Ads

We use "Google Ads" on our website, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). We use Google Ads for marketing and optimization purposes, in particular to place ads that are relevant and interesting to you. If you have given us your consent in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter a GDPR, we can use Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising material on external websites. This enables us to determine how successful individual advertising measures are.

These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called "ad servers". For this we use ad server cookies, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users. If you reach our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your device. These cookies usually expire after 30 days. They are not used to identify you personally. The following information is usually stored as analysis values ​​for this cookie: Unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), opt-out information (identification that the user no longer wish to be contacted). These cookies enable Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages of an advertiser's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each advertiser is assigned a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be tracked through advertiser websites. 

We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data for the advertising measures mentioned above. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material, in particular we cannot identify the user based on this information. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. Through the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of Google Ads. As far as we know, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you have a user account with Google and are registered there, Google can assign the visit to your user account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that Google will find out and store your IP address. Since personal data is transferred to the USA, further appropriate guarantees are required to ensure the level of data protection in accordance with GDPR. In order to ensure this, we have concluded standard contractual clauses with the provider in accordance with Article 46 (2) (c) GDPR. These oblige the recipient of the data in the USA to process the data in accordance with the European level of protection. In cases where this cannot be guaranteed even with this contract extension, we endeavor to obtain additional regulations and commitments from the recipient in the USA. Email Marketing to dog breeders via Mailchimp

This section explains how Leander International Pet Foods Ltd, trading as Arden Grange (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses and protects the personal data of breeders who choose to receive marketing emails from us, and how we use our email service provider, Mailchimp, to send those communications. It should be read alongside the rest of our Privacy Policy.

1. What personal data we collect

When you sign up to receive emails from us, we collect and store the following personal data in Mailchimp:

• Your email address

• Your first name and surname

• Your kennel or breeding establishment name

2. Why we collect and use this data

We use your personal data to send you email communications about:

• New product launches and product news

• Promotions, offers and discounts

3. Our legal basis for processing

Our legal basis for sending you marketing emails is your consent, given when you opt in to our mailing list. Because these are marketing communications sent by electronic means, we also comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which require your clear, opt-in consent before we send you marketing emails.

4. How we obtain and manage your consent

• You opt in by actively submitting your details through our sign-up form; the consent box is never pre-ticked on your behalf.

• You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in every marketing email, or by contacting us at orders@ardengrange.com.

• Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it, and you can resubscribe at any time.

5. How long we keep your data

• We keep your details on our mailing list for as long as you remain subscribed, i.e. until you unsubscribe.

• We review our mailing list at least annually to check the data we hold is accurate, still relevant, and still wanted.

• If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our active mailing list promptly, except where we are required to keep a record (for example, a suppression record to ensure we do not email you again) or to comply with a legal obligation.

6. Sharing your data with Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp, provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC (Intuit Mailchimp) as our email marketing platform. Mailchimp acts as our data processor and only processes your personal data on our documented instructions, under a Data Processing Addendum, in order to deliver our emails to you. Mailchimp does not use your personal data for its own marketing purposes, and we do not sell or share your data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.

7. International data transfers

Mailchimp is based in the United States, so using it involves transferring your personal data outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). We only do this where appropriate safeguards are in place, specifically:

• Mailchimp/Intuit's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and its UK extension; and/or

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), incorporated into Mailchimp's Data Processing Addendum and, for UK transfers, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, where the Data Privacy Framework does not apply.

8. Keeping your data secure

Mailchimp maintains technical and organisational security measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and regular review of its sub-processors. We only work with service providers who can demonstrate appropriate safeguards for the personal data we ask them to process.

9. Your rights

In relation to the personal data we hold about you as a breeder on our mailing list, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data

• Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)

• Ask us to restrict how we use your data

• Object to us processing your data

• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

• Withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.  

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.  

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

• To unsubscribe from marketing emails, use the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email you receive from us
